- Badam Tail (Almond oil) – The oil is good for application to the skin as an emollient, helps the skin to balance water loss and absorption of moisture, which consists mainly of glycerides of oleic acid with smaller amounts of linoleic and palmitic acid, has nutritive and demulcent properties.
- Jaitun Tail (Olive Oil ) – It is the preferred grade for moisturizing the skin. Olive oil is unlikely to cause allergic reactions. It does have demulcent properties, and mild laxative properties, acting as a stool softener. It is also used at room temperature as an ear wax softener.
- Akhrot Tail (Walnut oil ) – It makes a great carrier oil blend for the purpose of massaging the body. It is more often brought to use as base oil that is used in combination with one or the other essential oils. It is known for its soothing refreshing emollient qualities. Some people have a very sensitive skin, and thus are allergic to the use of walnut oil. Walnut oil is preferred owing to its therapeutic properties. It is extremely useful in combating skin problems.
- Surajmukhi Tail (Sunflower oil) – It is high in the essential vitamin E and low in saturated fat. It can retain moisture in the skin. It may also provide a protective barrier that resists infection in pre-term infants.
- Til tail (Sesame oil) – It is a source of vitamin E. Vitamin E is an anti-oxidant and has been correlated with lowering cholesterol levels. Sesame oil contains magnesium, copper, calcium, iron, zinc and vitamin B6. Copper provides relief for rheumatoid arthritis. Magnesium supports vascular and respiratory health. Calcium helps prevent colon cancer, osteoporosis, migraine and PMS. Zinc promotes bone health.
- Soybeans oil – The soybeans are cracked, adjusted for moisture content. They may also be used to prevent or correct essential fatty acid deficiency. Soy oil also has emollient properties and is used in the treatment of dry skin conditions.
- Mungfuli Tail (Groundnut oil) – Softening impacted feces the oil is known for its culinary use. It has come into prominence owing to the numerous health benefits it provides. Thick in texture, it leaves an oily feel on the skin. It works wonders in protecting the skin from ugly acne marks and black heads. Oil massage is extremely beneficial for people suffering from Arthritis.
- Sarson Tail (Mustard oil) – It is basically consists of fatty acid, oleic acid, erucic acid and linoleic acid. It has antioxidant and cholesterol reducing properties. It is also loaded with essential vitamins. It can be used as antibacterial oil. It helps to detoxify human body. It helps to reduce hair fall through improved blood circulation if it is massaged on scalp. It can be used as an irritant for stimulating sensation in senseless organs and muscles. Irritants are also useful for driving up muscles. It helps preventing fungal growth, thus it can be used as anti-fungal. It helps in winter for making body warm and generating mild irritating effect through massage on body.
- Erand Tail (Castor oil) – Castor oil as generally recognized as safe and effective for over-the-counter use as a laxative on skin disorders or skin problems. Castor oil penetrates deep into the skin, which is low enough to penetrate into the stratum corneum. Castor Isostearate Succinate is a polymeric mixture of esters with Isostearic Acid and Succinic Acid used for skin conditioning. Ricinoleic acid is the main component of Castor oil and it exerts anti-inflammatory effects. Castor oil decreased pain. Castor oil is a natural emollient that penetrates the surface layers of the skin making it softer and more pliable.

Therapeutic uses : Useful in cholera, Headache, Toothache, Ear-diseases, Epistaxis, Trauma, Urticaria, Coughing, Indigestion, Suppression of the power of digestion, Colic pain, Gas, Flatulence and asthma (Dyspnoea).
Mode of administration and dosage:
- Cholera : 5-10 drops, after every 15 minutes. As patient feels relief in the attack of disease, the period of interval should be increased gradually, i.e. half an hour, one hour, then two hours and so on, it gives definite relief in cholera.
- Colic pain, Gas, Flatulence & Asthma : Pour 3-4 drops in sugar,batasa or in warm water, and take internally.
- Asthma or Dyspnoea : It gives relief through Inhalation(smelling) or by applying on the chest. If the patient is not able to inhale because of severe attack of asthma, then 4-5 drops of this ‘divya-dhara‘ should be added in 1/2-1 ltr. of boiled water, & give steam to the patient. It gives immediate relief.
- Headache : Apply 3-4 drops on the forehead & give massage; inhale or smell 1-2 drops which gives immediate relief.
- Toothache : Dip the cotton in divya-dhara and keep it on affected tooth.
